strong product ownership, or operational reality baked in from the start.
We partner with healthcare software companies and internal product teams to design and deliver EMR and RCM capabilities — from complex, high-acuity initiatives to everyday features that healthcare teams rely on daily.
Our work sits at the intersection of product strategy, healthcare operations, and engineering execution. We focus on making the right decisions upstream so downstream workflows actually work.
Founder
Michelle Terry is the founder of Improve Your Software and a senior healthcare product leader with 20+ years of experience building, scaling, and modernizing EMR, RCM, and healthcare education platforms.
For 12 years, Michelle operated her own consulting and product business under The PerfectPractice LLC, serving large enterprise clients including CollaborateMD and CorinthianColleges. During that time, she owned full product lifecycles, managed multiple concurrentclient relationships, and delivered commercially successful platforms at scale.
Her work included the 0 to 1 creation of a proprietary RCM and learning management
platform used across 112 college campuses and by more than 80,000 users nationwide, as
well as nationally published medical billing workbooks through McGraw-Hill and Elsevier.
Michelle frequently presents to CEOs and executive teams, leads summit presentations on
new verticals, and has taught healthcare and medical billing curricula at the college level.
